This is Dear Reader.

A bunch of my friends got me a book subscription for my 40th birthday. It was an amazing gift, so this little newsletter is my gift back to them.

I’m going to write short reviews of the books I’ve read; short enough to fit on a postcard. So that’s up to 100 words (but I won’t be counting the book’s title or author in the word count).

Also, I read a lot, so it’s likely these reviews will feature both subscription and non-subscritpion books.

Who am I?

I’m a reader, not a critic. A lover, not a hater. So will attempt to keep these reviews *diplomatic*.

I'm a copywriter and editor in the agency world now, used to be a digital journalist. Fingers crossed that AI eases me into an early retirement.
