Imagine vignettes of people’s lives - some real, but most not. All spread out across the world but also centered on Brisbane in 1954. These people, brushing past one another or perhaps becoming entangled.
In this Guardian interview, Hall talks about the idea that “…a novel only ever exists for two people”.
So my Vortex, the one I created with Hall, was a beautiful, moving thing.
